our firm

Founded in 1868, our parent company, Jensen & Halstead Ltd., is the oldest architecture firm in Chicago. Like our predecessors, the current principals insist on direct involvement with each project. This philosophy produces high quality, personalized results and an excellent record of continuing client relationships.

David K. Dastur, AIA
Senior Principal

As a Senior Principal, David oversees a number of the firm's projects to ensure the quality of planning, design, construction and code compliance of healthcare and senior living facilities. Such projects include Riverside Medical Center's Pavilion Building and Evanston-based Presbyterian Homes. His specialties include master planning and programming.

David also coordinates the firm's business and strategic planning. In January 2005, he facilitated a partnership between Studio One Design and Jensen & Halstead, an architecture firm specializing in healthcare and senior living. The partnership allows Studio One Design to offer its client a more comprehensive package of services, including architecture services, planning and consulting.

David is a Licensed Architect in Illinois and Texas, and has been working in the field since 1987. He graduated from the University of Illinois at Chicago with a Bachelor of Architecture degree.

He is a member of the AIA and Vistage, an international organization of chief executives.

Francisco Rosas, CSI
Senior Principal

As a Senior Principal, Francisco provides support and leadership in the design and development of healthcare facilities, including hospitals, surgical centers, laboratories and long term care facilities. With more than 30 years of experience, he enjoys the challenge of working in a dynamic environment with ever-changing medical equipment technologies and life support systems.

Francisco joined the firm in 1973 as a draftsman apprentice. He attended the Illinois Institute of Technology and continued independent studies in the fields of Accounting, Finance, Land Development, Business Administration and Information Systems.

Fluent in Spanish, Francisco has the opportunity to network with the Latin American community and address their cultural customs in the healthcare industry.

Francisco is President and Co-Founder of the Economic Development Commission of Greater Logan Square, a not-for-profit organization that fosters responsible development in the communities of Logan Square and Avondale. He also was elected and served as community representative in the local councils of Logandale Middle School and Avondale Elementary School.

Glenn D. Seerup, AIA
Project Manager/Architect

Glenn joined the firm in January 2000 and has more than 13 years experience in healthcare and commercial architecture. As a Principal, he works directly with clients, subcontractors and staff to ensure the quality of design in healthcare and senior living facilities.

Most recently, Glenn managed the firm's design of Riverside Medical Center's Pavilion Building in Kankakee, IL. He worked closely with the Studio One Design team to promote a "community center" atmosphere in the hospital's two-story atrium.

Glenn graduated with a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Cincinnati and is a Licensed Architect in Illinois.
