Challenges
A new Women's Center was slated for construction at the Lake Forest Campus. Studio One Design accepted the challenge to design a facility that would blend with the existing hospital standards and continue to exemplify the quality of service and image for which Lake Forest Hospital is recognized.

Solutions
To maintain a consistent theme, Studio One Design created a palette of colors that is compatible with the existing hospital standards and can be utilized in other areas of the campus. Furniture and finishes were selected that created a warm and inviting atmosphere for patients, families and friends.

To aid the facility in future maintenance, Studio One designed public corridors with six foot vinyl back carpet bordered with wood-look sheet vinyl, which also flows into the patient rooms. As carpet is often one of the first items to be replaced, it will be a simple task to pull up the 6 foot inlay with little disruption to the patients and staff.
